Doctorate in Biological Sciences

(Approved by Ministerial Resolution Nº 2036/1984 and CONEAU Resolution Nº 737/2013)

 

Objectives

To promote scientific research and technological development as well as the training of professional researchers in the field of Biological Sciences. To allow the development of the potentiality between teacher and researcher to be transferred to the training of undergraduate and graduate students. To train students with strong basic and applied capabilities to provide counselling to solve problems related to the biotechnological field, preservation and management of natural resources, preservation of the environment, human health and quality of life. To promote the generation of knowledge in the three levels of integration of living organisms: molecular, biological and behavioural (ethological), taking into consideration national and international aspects and regulations.

Addressees

Graduated professionals from specializations related to the doctorate (Biologists, Microbiologists, Agronomists, etc) with a curriculum of at least five years or with a related masters’ degree.
