International Students

Dear Students, The National University of Rio Cuarto (UNRC) welcomes you and provides you the following list of aspects you will need to consider during your residency in the city, such as admission proceedings and recommendations to consider during the exchange. Welcome!

Once you have been admitted to the University…

Tips to consider before travelling

  • Get in touch with a tutor student, previously designated by the Students Mobility Unit.

  • Join the Facebook group conformed by the exchange students of the current semester or year. Through the group you will be able to communicate with other exchange students and with the International Relations Secretary.

  • The University has University Student Residences to benefit students with limited resources and good academic performance. If you already have an accommodation (as a result of the established agreements or programs) provided by the UNRC and you arrive to the University on a week day, between 08:00 and 15:00 hrs, we request you to go to the Department of Graduate Studies and International Cooperation (Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto - Enlace Ruta 8 y 36 Km. 601 - Río Cuarto - Provincia de Córdoba - Tel: 00 54 358 464676108 / 413). If you arrive outside of the mentioned time, go to the University Guard where you will be accommodated in a residence.

  • Obtain a Health Insurance Service to cover any type of accidents or diseases during the time of your residency. A copy of the documentation of the insurance service must be sent via email to the Students Mobility Unit (posgraduacion@sec.unrc.edu.ar).

  • Confirm the validity of your passport during your residency.

  • Consult the Argentinean Government’s website to know whether your nationality requires a visa to enter the country.

Requirements for a Visa

Consult the Argentinean Government’s website to know whether your nationality requires a visa to enter the country.
If you require a visa, we will get in touch with you to explain the proceedings that need to be carried out in advance to your residency.
If you do not require a visa before you enter the country, you will need to apply for it when you arrive to Rio Cuarto. In addition, you need to take into account that if you study in the UNRC for more than a semester, you will need to provide a Certificate of criminal record, properly apostilled, or its equivalent in your country of residence, before arriving to Argentina.
Students from Mercosur and its associated countries also need to provide a Certificate of criminal record before arriving to Argentina, due to the fact that it is a requisite to obtain a visa.

Consult the requirements for an Argentinean visa.
