Dear Students, The National University of Rio Cuarto (UNRC) welcomes you and provides you the following list of aspects you will need to consider during your residency in the city, such as admission proceedings and recommendations to consider during the exchange. Welcome!

What you need to do when you arrive

  1. Request a map of the city in the Tourism Office at the airport or bus terminal. Or you can print it from the following link: City map.
  1. Go to or call our offices to inform us of your arrival. We will provide directions and accommodation information.

  1. Contact the consular representatives of your country in Argentina to be able to resort to them in case you need it and to participate in activities of communities of you country in Argentina. Consular representative in Argentina: www.mrecic.gov.ar/portal/guia-dip/guia-dip.html

  2. Contact your health insurance service to inform yourself of which medical institutions provide the service in your destination city.

  3. Consult the different bus lines of the urban transport system:  www.satcrc.com.ar/
  1. If you already have an accommodation (as a result of the established cooperation agreements or programs) provided by the UNRC, we inform you that you will share an apartment with other students.
  1. You need to inform the Department of Graduate Studies and International Cooperation of the contact information of your place of residence (address and phone number).

Academic Calendar

The University’s Academic Calendar is designed by each Academic Unit. In spite of what the unit might establish each year, this is the basic arrangement of the academic year:

  • First Term: Classes from March to June. Final exams in July and August (first 15 days). Winter recess in July (15 days).
  • Second Term: Classes from August to November. Final exams in November and December (first 15 days). Summer recess in January (30 days). Final exams in February and March (first 15 days).

Safety Recommendations

Do not carry your original passport with you. Always carry a copy.

Take care of valuable items; do not display them in public (cameras, tablets, cell phones, etc.)

If you wish to travel across the country, please inform us of your departure, travel companions, dates of stay and contact information.
